Please Read:

Ladies and gents I present to you The Moon, rendered using original NASA texture map at a resolution of just over 2000x2000.

Recently there has been allot of discussion on whether submitting resources is the right thing to do, some people feel that resource submission hinders the artists creativity, by allowing them to use shortcuts instead of creating/drawing it themselves.

For my part, I have always submitted and thought of resources as being more or less the same as stock photos. For example, this file, is ideal for someone who needs a high definition render of the moon, but doesn’t have 3dStudio or the ability to render 3D objects at a very high res.

It could also be used by someone who normally just manipulates photos, and wouldn’t really know about creating such a render in the first place.

Those are just two examples of where this file could be useful, I hope this clears things up for those who have something against resources, and I hope they read this description before they begin to criticize my submission!
